Sara Matthis, owner of Sara’s Estate Sales LLC, has called the Florida Keys home for more than 30 years. Before launching her business in 2022, Sara built a successful career as a journalist and editor, skills that naturally evolved into her passion for organizing, curating, researching, photographing, and thoughtfully presenting estate collections.

 

Born in Laguna Beach, California and raised in Honduras, Sara brings a unique blend of creativity, culture, communication, and attention to detail to every project. She graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Creative Writing and is also fluent in Spanish.

 

With deep roots throughout the Florida Keys, Sara has built strong relationships within the community and maintains an extensive network of local and mainland resources. She is a past board member of both the Marathon Chamber of Commerce and the Florida Keys SPCA.

 

Sara specializes in helping families navigate estate sales, downsizing, moving preparation, relocation, cleanouts, and home organization with professionalism, care, and a calm personal approach.

 

She lives on Grassy Key with her husband, where they raised their two daughters and now enjoy time with their grandchildren, Sebastian and Solomon. Outside of work, Sara enjoys paddle boarding, spinning, and tending to her hardwood hammock.
